Golden Triangle Shows

Mar 1, 2009

Since their inception in Greensboro, NC in 2000, the Golden Triangle Shows have grown to nine shows in three different southeastern venues. "All are 100 percent wholesale," says Bob Siddiqui, show director, who calls the growth, "a natural expansion, based on demand."

Unlike many trade shows, these are all cash and carry. "Sourcing is direct and available for immediate delivery," Siddiqui points out, "so buyers can shop, compare and take home their merchandise right away." Siddiqui comes to this business following 25 years of experience in the jewelry trade, "So we know what exhibitors and buyers want," he notes.

The merchandise at Golden Triangle Shows is primarily jewelry of every kind, but has also grown to include a wide range of apparel, handbags and fashion accessories. Siddiqui says there are approximately 250 to 300 exhibitors at each show, and each is attended by 7,000 to 9,000 buyers.

Buyer admission is free. All that is needed to enter is a tax ID and proof that the attendee is related to the exhibitors' industries. Exhibitors include importers and wholesalers from all across the U.S. "These shows are strictly business," Siddiqui stresses. There's a free breakfast of bagels and coffee at every show. In the Kissimmee, FL location, Golden Triangle Expo has also arranged for free parking for buyers.

The four 2009 shows in Greensboro are as follows: March 21-23, August 1-3, October 10-12, and December 5-7. The GTS Florida Expo takes place on the three following 2009 dates: March 28-30, June 20-22, and September 19-21.

There are two GTS Expos in Charlotte, NC on June 13-15 and October 24-26.
