  Merling Wholesale, also known as Merling Sports, is a distributor of licensed products covering the NFL, MLB, NCAA/College, NBA, NHL and other organizations. The company's huge assortment of products includes licensed blankets, wallets, decals, beach towels, candles, flags, umbrellas, banners, gloves, scarves and more. Launched in 2005, Merling Wholesale established itself as a stocking wholesaler of licensed blankets. "I will sell a minimum of 25,000 to 35,000 blankets this year,"George Merling, president, states. "We emphasize the NFL products,"he adds. "Businesses can make a nice living selling the NFL line. We stock all 32 teams but, of course, we're heavier in the top ten teams."Each year, the company expands its lines for more depth in all the teams. Merling shares, "When new products are available, we automatically bring them in and evaluate them to see if they have good sales potential. We have all the current new products from 25 to 30 licensee vendors. We've found that the more we stock, the more we sell."Buyers can expect products to retail for double wholesale price. Blankets that sell for $27.95, for example, can retail for $60 to $65. To help service customers, point of purchase displays soon will be available.

  The company aims to be a one-stop-shop for retailers selling licensed products and always has a large amount of inventory ready to ship. "We ship most orders within 24 hours,"Merling continues. "This is important to small retailers because they can order what they need instead of stocking large inventories."Customers can place an order on a Monday or Tuesday and have it in store by Thursday or Friday. "Our customers love our service and delivery. They know when they place their orders that they will be filled immediately."

  Merling Wholesale has no minimum order for its regular wholesale accounts. "We have a price breakdown by quantities but any established wholesale account gets the lowest price we quote, whether they buy one or a dozen."Because the NFL sets product prices, there are very few specials at this time of year. After January 31st, however, closeouts of teams that did not perform well might be available.

  All the information Merling Wholesale's customers need, including product images, descriptions, wholesale prices and quantities available, can be found on its website. "Our customers know immediately if an item is in stock. Our website is state of the art and we have Cloud software so we are totally paperless.
