The Line: This company carries a complete line of apparel and accessories for motorcyclists, including jackets for men, women and children; chaps and pants, saddle and tool bags, gloves, full length coats and helmets. It has its own state of the art tanneries that use a unique technology that retains the natural oils of leather. It also utilizes a drum dyed process, in order to produce supple, heavy and premium naked leather. It will provide custom orders in sizes or colors that are not regularly available. It has its own tailoring operation and provides motorcycle clubs with items with embroidered logos. Prices are competitive, and Pro-Rider can offer leather apparel in several price ranges, including premium quality.
Literature: A free 20 page catalog is offered to qualified retailers. The company's products are also shown on its website.
Minimum Order/Pricing: A minimum of $200 is required on a retailer's first order, and can include an assortment of products. The wholesale price for an entry level men's leather jacket is $49, and that model has a suggested retail price of $99. At the top of the line, a premium grade men's jacket wholesales for $170, and has a suggested retail of $329. Mid range products are also available.
Special Features: Pro-Rider stands behind its products and offers free repair, such as when a snap or zipper gets broken, not only to its retailer customers, but also to its retailers' customers. The consumer who bought from a Pro-Rider dealer can call direct. The supplier also offers its dealers advice on merchandising.
